I am a globally recognised speaker, advisor and writer on proptech and space-as-a-service. A serial entrepreneur, I have founded and exited several proptech software companies and now consult real estate boards on their transformation, technology and innovation strategies. I write an influential blog on this site and am a prolific Tweeter (@antonyslumbers). In 2020 I co-founded the Real Innovation Academy, an online real estate training company.

I have worked with CBRE Global Investors, EPRA, INREV, CoreNet India, CREDAI (in Tel Aviv), MSCI, MRI, NSI, SEGRO, RICS, Nepi Rockcastle, Fifth Wall Ventures, IREI, iwfm and other great companies and organisations.

I have spoken in the UK, Australia, US, Netherlands, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania, Germany, France, Spain, Israel, India and Saudi Arabia.

Below is a timeline of my career…..

• Pre-Internet: 19th Century UK & European Art Dealer

• 1988-1995: Property Developer (Residential apartments/mixed use Commercial)

• Mosaic Netscape 0.9 (the first web browser), released on October 13, 1994

• Founded Estates Today January 1995

• Designed, coded, hosted and managed multiple commercial real estate industry websites (including pan European operations of King Sturge for 10 years)

• 1999: Founded Cityoffices.net - primary research into prime office developments across UK. Sold 2019.

• 2000: Founded Businessparks.net (sold) - primary research into leading UK schemes

• Launched British Council for Offices (BCO) Research Portal + Awards entry website - (designed, coded, hosted for 10+ years)

• 2001: Co-founded Vicinitee with Broadgate Estates (Property Management arm of British Land plc):

• Product managed, coded and maintained five core property management modules: Helpdesk, Permits to Work, Visitor Management, Resource Manager & Licence for Alterations.

• Launched Building Community module providing Local Travel, Whats On and Offers to office occupiers.

• Vicinitee customers include Land Securities, Argent, Oxford Properties, The Shard, The Heron Tower, The Gherkin, Grosvenor, Hammerson

• Vicinitee grew to serve 400+ Properties, 7,000 Occupiers, 15,000 + FM Users, 720,000+ System Users

• 2006, sold 50% share of Vicinitee to British Land

• 2007 founded Glasnost21 - Software as a Service suite of productivity tools including Contacts, Project & Image Management and Pipeline, a business development tracking tool. Exited 2019.

• Since 2014 written a monthly column on Technology & Property in the Estates Gazette.

• Top 20 #PropTech influencer according to the Lendinvest rankings and number 16 in Onalytica's Global #PropTech rankings.

• 2017: Left Vicinitee to concentrate on wider Tech/Real Estate initiatives.

• 2017: No 1 Non-US CRE Blog & Person to follow on Twitter - Duke Long's annual Top 100 Lists.

• No 3 - Lendinvest PropTech Power List 2017

• 2018 - CRETech, Member, Leadership Board

• Founded PropAI - in partnership with OFTNAI (Oxford Foundation for Theoretical Neuroscience & Artificial Intelligence)

• May 2019: Joined the Advisory Board of the world’s No 1 Tenant Engagement company, Equiem

• October 2019 - Member of the ULI Europe Technology and Real Estate Council

• January 2020 - launched The Antony Slumbers Podcast

• March 2020 - Founded the Real Innovation Academy - an online platform teaching technology to real estate professionals, and vice versa

• June 2022 - Retired the RIA

• September 2022 - Launch of ‘#SpaceasaService: The Trillion Dollar Hashtag‘ course.
